From the airport :

• Take the "Tan-Air" shuttle from the airport to downtown (place du Commerce). Then, take the tram, line 2, in the direction of Orvault Grand Val or Ecole Centrale-Audencia, and get off at Michelet Sciences. The main gate to IMN is in front of this stop.

From the train station :

• Take the tram, line 1, in the direction of François Mitterrand or Jamet and get off at place du Commerce. Then, take the tram, line 2, in the direction of Orvault Grand Val or Ecole Centrale-Audencia and get off at Michelet Sciences.
  Access Pass : a single TAN ticket is needed (1.30€) which can be bought at the slot machine. The ticket is valid for one hour on the whole TAN network.
• PS: a TAN pass will be given for any participant at the registration desk on Sunday afternoon.

By car : (See access map here)

• For those who come by car, we strongly recommend to leave their cars at the hotel and to reach IMN by Tram (Line 2, in the direction of Orvault Grand Val or Ecole Centrale-Audencia from downtown. Get off at the stop Michelet-Sciences, which is right in front of the main gate to IMN). On Sunday, the traffic would be low, so one might come to IMN by driving. In this case, one can park on rue de la Haute Forêt and walk to the tram stop Michelet-Sciences.

The second International Symposium on Structure-Property Relationships in Solid State Materials will be held in Nantes, France, at the Institut des Matériaux Jean Rouxel (IMN) from Sunday, June 29^th to Thursday, July 3^rd, 2008. This symposium will follow up the first one organized at Bordeaux in June 2006, which gathered about 100 scientists from different parts of the world. Briefly, the symposium will be an international forum to present and discuss recent research results. The goal of the symposium is to highlight the relationships between specific physical properties of the materials and their structure and/or chemical composition as well as how these properties may be modified by varying the nature of the chemical bonds, the strength of the electron-electron interaction, the concentration of dopants, etc. The meeting will be devoted mainly to structure-property relationships in magnetic, optical, electronic, thermoelectric and functional materials. Within the scope of this symposium, further topics in fuel cell and photovoltaic solar cells will be encouraged. This symposium will provide opportunities for experimental and theoretical solid state chemists, physicists and materials scientists to share their knowledge and expertise.
