(ID2M).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Subject<\/strong><strong> Optimization of cementitious materials by mechano-activation of clays: study of microstructural modifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The aim of this thesis is to define the optimum conditions for the mechano-activation of TOT clays (smectites, illites, etc.), in order to optimize their reactivity in compound cements. In the course of the study, and based on the skills of both teams, the PhD student will combine monitoring of the structural transformation of clays during mechano-activation (by calorimetry, DRX and Rietveld analysis, solid state NMR<sup>(29Si<\/sup>, <sup>27Al<\/sup>, <sup>1H<\/sup>), thermal analysis and infra-red spectroscopy), monitoring the evolution of physical properties (specific surface area, size distribution and properties at particle interfaces), monitoring their reactivity in cementitious water, and evaluating the rheological and mechanical behavior of cementitious materials organizes one or two sessions a year to welcome young people for observation internships. The dates for the 2026-2027 term have not yet been set. It will not be possible to host students outside these dates, and the duration of the internship is one week.
