{"id":3347,"date":"2025-12-02T14:26:32","date_gmt":"2025-12-02T13:26:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www-preprod.cnrs-imn.fr\/themosia-research-groups-modeling-scientific-day\/"},"modified":"2025-12-02T14:26:32","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T13:26:32","slug":"themosia-research-groups-modeling-scientific-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cnrs-imn.fr\/en\/themosia-research-groups-modeling-scientific-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Themosia research group&#8217;s Modeling Scientific Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We were delighted to host the &#8220;Modelling&#8221; scientific day of the Th\u00e9MoSiA Research Group of the P\u00f4le Ouest of the French Theoretical Chemistry Network (RFCT), organized by Chris Ewels (PMN), and Camille Latouche (MIOPS).<\/p>\n<p>Some fifty participants from laboratories in Nantes, Rennes, Poitiers, Brest and Paris took part in this meeting to discuss their modeling research activities.<\/p>\n<p>Th\u00e9MoSiA is a French multidisciplinary research network bringing together researchers developing or using theories, methodologies or simulations in which the atomistic scale is of major interest.<\/p>\n<p>Theories ranging from quantum mechanics to mesoscopic modeling are used independently or within multi-scale models. Th\u00e9MoSiA lies at the crossroads of a wide range of research fields and applications in chemistry, biology and physics.
