{"id":7668,"date":"2026-09-28T16:47:57","date_gmt":"2026-09-28T14:47:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cnrs-imn.fr\/7668\/"},"modified":"2026-09-28T16:47:57","modified_gmt":"2026-09-28T14:47:57","slug":"7668","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cnrs-imn.fr\/en\/7668\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are very pleased to welcome <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnrs-imn.fr\/en\/member\/wernert-romain\/\"><strong>Romain Wernert <\/strong><\/a>who<strong> is joining the IMN as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnrs.fr\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNRS<\/a> Research Fellow<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>After completing a doctoral dissertation at<a href=\"https:\/\/www.icmcb-bordeaux.cnrs.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the ICMCB<\/a> and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.icgm.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the ICGM<\/a> (L. Croguennec, D. Carlier, L. Monconduit) on the crystal chemistry of electrode materials for K-ion batteries, which he defended in 2023, Romain completed a postdoctoral fellowship at<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ox.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the University of Oxford<\/a> (M. Hayward) focusing on anionic intercalation chemistry for the development of new functional materials. These two experiences enabled him to acquire skills in X-ray and neutron crystallography and pair distribution function analysis, as well as in synthesis, measurement of physical properties, and X-ray absorption spectroscopy. <\/p>\n<p>At IMN, as part of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnrs-imn.fr\/en\/electrochemical-energy-storage-and-conversion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the ST2E team<\/a><\/strong>, he is joining the \u201cMaterials and Devices for Power Storage\u201d research group led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnrs-imn.fr\/en\/member\/brousse-thierry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thierry Brousse<\/a> to conduct his research in the field of exploratory crystal chemistry of oxide-type materials as well as the characterization of redox mechanisms. He will present his profile and research activities at the RS2E biannual meeting on October 13 and 14, 2026. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are very pleased to welcome Romain
