ANR project

Machining control using multiple micro-sensors

Dates:
02 January 2024 – June 2027

Project coordinator:
Bertrand Garnier (LTeN)

Partner laboratories :

  • IMN
  • LEM3 Univ. Lorraine
  • FEMTO Univ. Franche Comté

IMN staff involved:
Ahmed Rhallabi, Abdou Djouadi

The aim of the project is to develop a combined multi-sensor system for measuring temperature, heat flow and tool wear during complex machining operations. IMN, as a partner in the project, will be responsible for designing and producing the sensors in the form of thin films, developing a material to protect them, and participating in the testing of this multi-sensor system. The MGIMS project is supported by Airbus Helicopters and Safran Landing Systems.
