Tojo Rasoanarivo, a PhD student in the PCM team, was awarded the prize for best oral presentation by the Société Française du Vide (SFV) at the 2025 edition of the GDR RAFALD in Grenoble.

His work focuses on multi-scale modeling of GaN ALE in chlorinated plasmas, in the context of a CIFRE collaboration with STMicroelectronics, supervised by Cédric Mannequin, Isabelle Braems, Mohamed Boufnichel, Fabrice Roqueta and Ahmed Rhallabi.

Congratulations also to Hiba Beji, CNRS post-doctoral researcher (PCM), working with Cédric Mannequin, for the high quality of her presentation, which was particularly well received by the scientific community.

This workshop was an opportunity to highlight the scientific orientations of the PCM team, particularly in the fields of multi-scale and multi-physics modeling, as well as experimental ALE etching of materials of interest for quantum technologies.

Since 2015, the RAFALD (Réseau des Acteurs Français de l’ALD) workshop has brought together around a hundred participants from academic laboratories as well as industry. On the program: scientific presentations, roundtables and privileged exchange times.

These days make a major contribution to the cohesion of the French Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) community, and encourage the integration of new players.

This annual gathering is a unique opportunity for experts and novices in the field of atomic layer deposition and etching (ALD and ALE) to exchange and discuss the latest innovations and applications.
