We are very pleased to welcome Reine Mvodo as an Assistant Professor at the University of Nantes withinthe Materials Engineering and Metallurgy (ID2M) team.

At the Interdisciplinary Carnot Laboratory of Burgundy (ICB) in Dijon, Reine Mvodo is conducting doctoral research on the development of new duplex stainless steel composites using powder metallurgy, specifically through Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) and hot isostatic pressing. During these three years, she also taught general chemistry and metallurgy at Polytech Dijon andthe University of Burgundy Europe (UBE). Following the completion of her dissertation, Reine was hired as a research assistant (ATER) at UBE for a one-year term.

These years of research have enabled him to develop expertise in understanding microstructures, phase transformations, and diffusion phenomena in mixtures of ferritic and austenitic steels produced by powder metallurgy.

At the University of Nantes, she joined the faculty of the Materials Department at Polytech Nantes. At the IMN, her research will focus on the metallurgy of welding and additive manufacturing.
