Louiza Larbi, a new associate professor on the ST2E team
We are very pleased to welcome Louiza Larbi, who is joining the IMN as an Associate Professor from the University of Nantes as part ofthe ST2E (Electrochemical Energy Storage and Conversion) team.
With a Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry, Louiza specializes in materials for energy storage systems, with expertise in the synthesis, characterization, and evaluation of the electrochemical performance of various types of materials.
After completing a Ph.D. atIS2M andICGM (C. Matei Ghimbeu, L. Monconduit) focused on the development of carbon-based anodes for next-generation potassium-ion batteries (KIBs), which she defended in 2023. Louiza completed a CNRS postdoctoral fellowship at LCMCP and CEMHTI (A. Perez, C. Laberty Robert, E. Salager) focusing on sulfide and hybrid (sulfide/polymer) solid electrolytes for all-solid-state batteries.
Louiza then joined CEA Liten in Grenoble (O. Raccurt, S. Geniès, L. Baggetto) as a research engineer; her work focused on developing a reliable reference sensor for sodium-ion batteries.
At the IMN, as part of the ST2E team, she is joining the research area “Recycling and Recovery of Materials from Energy Storage and Conversion Systems.” She will work on characterizing recycled materials at various scales (structure, texture, etc.), their regeneration, and their potential for integration into the electrochemical devices studied by the team.
