Visit by students from the Nantes University Institute of Technology (IUT), Materials Science and Engineering
We were pleased to welcome students from theNantes University Institute of Technology (IUT), who are in their second year of the Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering, with a specialization in “Materials Characterization and Expertise.” They had the opportunity to learn about the laboratory’s activities and to meet and discuss ongoing research projects with faculty members, researchers, engineers, and technicians.
They were able to tour our experimental facilities, including those equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for microscopy, photoelectron spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and more…
It was a great opportunity for the young students to get a glimpse of everyday life in a laboratory and for the institute’s staff to share their passion for materials science research.
This opportunity for exchange highlights the strong ties between our laboratory and the Nantes University Institute of Technology (IUT). Several of our faculty members teach there to train advanced technicians and generalist mid-level managers in the field of materials: Sophie Quillard and Benoît Corraze fromthe PMN team, and Laurence Athouel fromthe ST2E team.
