- Combinatorial metallurgy, microstructure engineering, multi-objective alloy design and optimization (genetic algorithms), modeling and prediction of alloy properties (physical metallurgy, data mining using neural networks and Gaussian processes, predictive thermodynamics of phase diagrams, CALPHAD / Thermo-Calc, diffusion, Dictra).
- Thermomechanical behavior (resistance to heat and creep), oxidation, corrosion, hydrogen embrittlement.
- Hot forming metallurgy, welding and additive manufacturing metallurgy, weldability.
- Nickel alloys (superalloys), titanium alloys, high-entropy alloys (HEA) and complex concentrate alloys (CCA).
