Filming for the Palais de la Découverte

In preparation for the launch of a new island in the Palais de la Découverte dedicated entirely to natural hydrogen, a film crew was on hand at the laboratory to shoot videos.
Closed for renovation since 2020, the Palais de la Découverte will reopen its doors in March 2027 with its famous spaces revisited thanks to a new museography and new offers proposed to a wide public. With this in mind,Olivier Joubert, President of the CNRS Hydrogen Research Federation and Nantes University Professor in the laboratory, was asked to contribute to the production of these videos.
The aim of the ST2E team, headed by Olivier Joubert, is to design new materials to meet current and future challenges: producing clean, renewable and economically viable energy, in particular through green hydrogen, which is an essential link in the energy transition. They are working on improving the performance of electrolyzers and fuel cells by creating innovative materials that are highly efficient, easily accessible and inexpensive.
We would like to extend our warmest thanks to Séverine Brunet ofUniverscience, the institution that brings together the Palais de la Découverte and the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, for coordinating the project.
Thanks to Raphaël de Vellis and Thomas Sozoux from Darjeeling, a company working on behalf ofUniverscience, for producing the videos.
And a big thank you to all laboratory members for their participation and involvement: Olivier Joubert, Annie Le Gal La Salle, CNRS researcher, Sarah Taleb, PhD student, Théo Legret, PhD student, Duyen Nguyen, PhD student, Julie Routaboul, M2 trainee and Héloïse Pinsard, M1 trainee.
