Biography:
After graduating from the University of Bordeaux in the field of solid-state chemistry applied to battery electrode materials (January 2023), I moved to the University of Oxford, working in Mike Hayward’s group as a postdoctoral research assistant. During that time, I was exploring anionic intercalation chemistry in Ruddlesden-Popper compounds. I developed and applied sequential topochemical anion insertion-deinsertion reactions of fluoride ions in oxide-based frameworks to tailor the transition metal’s electron count, local coordination and magnetic properties.
Moving back home in Nantes, in September 2025, I joined the Electrochemical Storage and Transformation of Energy group, and more precisely the “high-power batteries” team. My research interests lie in the design of new oxide negative electrode materials for fast-charging batteries. I am interested in understanding how the crystal structures and nature of chemical bonds rule properties of inorganic solids and achieving comprehension from the microscopic scale using local probes, to the long-distance scale using diffraction techniques.
Prizes:
- Battery Young Researcher Award from the Battery Innovation Days (Novembre 2023, Bordeaux) European jury.
- Best Thesis Award (2022-2023) from Société Chimique de France section Aquitaine (Avril 2023, Bordeaux).
